Naked Truth Award: The Nearly Naked Run

Exercise is sexy. Sweat, pheromones, that healthy glow of endorphins… even the occasional orgasm…sometimes we forget how good you can look and feel after a good work-out.

Well now, work-outs can do good too.

Wiggio, a free, online toolkit geared towards colleges and other group-work communities, is hosting its second annual ‘Nearly Naked Run’ this year in Boston. Designed to let you “Undress, De-Stress, and Do Good”, the only clothes found at Wiggio’s Nearly Naked Run are the clothes donated to charity. The runners strip down to their skivvys for a mile-long fun-run that also acts as a clothes drive and community service event.

You can watch the rambunctious runners and learn more about the ‘Nearly Naked Run’ here.

What I love so much about this event is that it blends philanthropy, athleticism and sexual liberation in a fresh and fun way. Watching the youtube video, it is clear that ‘The Nearly Naked Run’ has such a positive energy about it–proving that nudity (or near-nudity) doesn’t have to be associated with debauchery or salacity. In the case of the ‘Nearly Naked Run’, nudity is used in a way that can help your mind, body and soul–and others, as well!

The Naked Truth Award is given to a person or organization that has somehow shown awesome bravery in standing up for truth, justice, health, freedom and/or coolness in our world.
